Back to work
It was nice having a wonderful vacation during the Christmas holidays. I got used to not coming to work and spending time with the family. Oh well, I have to support them so we have food on the table, a place to sleep, heating, and gas in the car.
I feel really good about this year and what it has in store. I plan on working hard at my job, remembering the great time I had with my family over the break so I take advantage of that more often every day, and continue to improve personally.

Baby Mandrake
We have lovingly bestowed the nickname of "Baby Mandrake" to our little daughter. It's not that she looks like one, but she can surely sound like one some times. It's in reference to the Baby Mandrake from Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. It's not the annoying shrilling kind from the movie. It's a very cute sound like she's trying to communicate and tell us something.

New Year's Resolutions
The top link on a Google search for "New Year's Resolutions" is this. I'm not sure how to translate that to my life because I don't need number 4 and 6 (quit smoking and drinking) although I'm glad that many people try to quit. Life would be much better if no one smoked or drank alcohol. I'm already working on number 7 (getting out of debt) so I guess I can just add that to my list. Numbers 2 and 3 seem to be the same thing. However, one is on weight loss and the other is on doing physical activity or fitness. They are related, but I tend to lean towards the fitness and let the weight loss happen naturally if your body needs to.
So, my favorites are:
So, my favorites are:
- Spend more time with friends and family
- Get fit
- Enjoy life more
- Get out of debt (finally)
HM Project 365
Heritage Makers has invited me to join it's newest project - Project 365. It's a fun way to capture the moments, the memories, the little events of life. By the end of the year, I'll have 365 days of preserved memories! Follow my Project 365 blog and see what photos and memories I have for today.
